Biography
Dr Sonia McCallum is an early career research fellow at the Centre for Mental Health Research, Research School of Population Health, ANU. Her research focuses on understanding and improving mental health in children, youth and parents and ensuring help is sought when needed. Associated with this, she is interested in the role of social connectedness on mental health. Currently she is leading the development of a new intervention to assist parents in recognising and responding to mental health problems such as anxiety, suicide, and psychological distress in their children.
